Tarajean “Tara” Lewis, MSN, RN, CNP, WHNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is an experienced Nurse Practitioner that holds many certifications and licenses such as: RN license in MA since 2001, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (WHNP-BC) with National Certification Corporation (NCC) since 2005, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) with American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2021, and a DATA Waived Buprenorphine Prescriber since 2018. 

Tara has spent 20 years a Registered Nurse (RN), 16 years as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), and a total of 3 years in Addiction Medicine. She specializes in Women’s Health, Psychiatry Mental-Health and Addiction Medicine. Her vast experience includes treating conditions such as opioid and alcohol dependencies in an outpatient office setting.

Tara got her start in 2001 when she became an RN, and then became a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) in 2005. She started working at Middlesex Recovery in November 2018 after becoming a DATA Waived Buprenorphine Prescriber in May of 2018. She has since gone on to graduate from Regis College with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification in Spring 2021.

It is Tara’s mission to treat all patients as human beings. She believes the care of the whole patient is important, not just the treatment of a diagnosis. She enjoys during her time off spending time with her family, reading mystery and detective books, being active and joining her family on hikes.
